Sunlight AMVCA Activation 2022

Summary

  • The AMVCAs (Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards) is one of the most anticipated awards platform which recognizes outstanding achievements in television and film.
  • It converges Nigerias finest across all works of life not limited to the Nollywood family. Attendees turn up in style as they showcase the best in creatively, style and designs on the red carpet
  • The 8th edition of AMVCA African Music took place between the 7th and 14th  May 2022 in Lagos and the Sunlight Master brand keyed into 2 of the events, the Cultural Celebration – 12 May 2022 and the AMVCA Award Night 14th May 2022
  • The Sunlight Master Brand created custom photo booths for both events as guests took fun pictures in the booths and enjoyed the GLAM Moment

Challenge

  • How do we drive impactful brand awareness and engagement amongst all the other brands while staying in tune with the theme of the events

Task

  • Conceptualize and bring to life a fun and engaging experience area for the brand within the holding area of the AMVCA event

Execution

  • Themed photo booths was setup strategically with the space allocated for the brand at the sponsor activation area for attendees to take fun pictures
  • For the Cultural Celebrations event, the photo booth consisted of the LED dance floor , The sofa , Strategically positioned shelves with floral vases, African themed props, lavender diffusers to keep the booth smelling fresh, mood lights ( LED parcans & LED bars ), Sunlight Logo Signage and a Tango photo experience for instant photographs
  • For the AMVCA Award Night, the photo booth consisted of the LED dance floor , The sofa , a flowery backdrop , lavender diffusers to keep the booth smelling fresh, mood lights ( LED parcans & LED bars ), Sunlight Logo Signage and the Tango photo experience for instant photographs. A Brand influencer Kiekie was on-ground to engage guests as they arrived at the photo booth
  • 3 Ushers costumed in Ankara styled and yellow dresses engaged consumers and they directed consumers to the booth, handed them hand props and carrier bags after they experienced the brand first hand They encouraged consumers to take fun pictures in the booth with the #SunlightxAMVCA to get an instant gift pack

Result

  • Highly engaging consumer- brand experience
  • Impactful Brand presence at the set of events
